I’ve been through this a million times, and I don’t think that there is a storage closet organizer in the world that can save me. It’s just too hard for me to justify getting rid of anything. Personally I blame my father, for he was the pack rat of all pack rats. As a kid I can remember our basement, or I can at least remember the fact that it was so full of junk that you had to struggle to make it down the stairs. I’m not quite as bad as he was; at least I’ve got all of my junk relegated to one closet instead of an entire level of the house. Maybe if I go out and get an organizer, it’s presence in the house will give me the motivation that I need to clean up and get rid of all the worthless junk that I’ve been accumulating over the ears. I probably don’t need the dried up tubes of super glue, or the keys that don’t fit into any of my locks, the crusty old paintbrushes or the broken doorknob that used to be on the back door. I’ll just look at it this way – if I throw out all of the stuff in there that is actually trash then that will give me more space to put stuff that I may actually use at some point.
