LOW CASH FLOW
We had to shop for a personal injury attorney in Michigan. We were really afraid that the guy who fell at our house would be able to find a judge to allow the lawsuit for 3 million dollars to go through. We were in a bad spot too. Business has been slow, and our cash flow is pretty low. I am afraid that any lawyer we hire might make us go broke quicker than the lawsuit. We were beginning to panic. We talked to a few attorneys and their fees were quite high, and they looked at the jurisdiction and thought that he might find a judge to let the suit get to court, and with a jury, we could lose. And lose big. Our homeowners insurance would not cover 3 million plus any attorney fees. We thought about the options. We might have to sell the house to partially finance the lawsuit. Tara was in tears the other morning. This was her parent's place, and they had given it to her. She did not want to sell the house under any circumstances, yet we didn't know where we could find the money to defend ourselves. I called my brother, who has a number of lawyer friends, and it turns out he has one in Michigan. We went to see her, and she agreed to take the case for a smaller fee, as a favor.
