I just got off the phone with my aunt and uncle to confirm that I'm definitely coming to visit. I'm going to get Lasik in Washington while I'm there since my uncle said they know someone who's had consistently good results with their surgeries. While I'm there, I'm looking forward to connecting with one of my ex-girlfriends. I signed up for one of those social networking sites and she wound up tracking me down online. We've been sending e-mails back and forth to each ever since. I thought I sensed some chemistry being rekindled in the correspondence on both ends. I don't think I'm imagining that. It came up in our conversations that neither one of us has dated anyone since our split. I don't think either one of us was too surprised by that. We both had really strong feelings for each other. You don't just get over a four year relationship overnight, you know? It's only been about a year and a half since we've been apart. Talking to her again gives me hope that we could pick up the pieces and start over from where we left off. It's clear to me that we've both matured tremendously since then. I think we're both interested in the idea of giving things a second chance!
